We have offered printing services since 1995, and have come to be known as a reliable partner for many demanding customers: advertising agencies, publishers and final users.

Transfer of files and design requirements

  1. Materials should be sent to an ftp server: ftp.dkh.com.pl
Access passwords are available upon request.
In the case of long-term cooperation, the client's individual account is set up on the server.
Username and passwords are provided by the client attending staff. Materials can also be delivered on the most popular digital media CD-ROMs, DVDs, USB sticks.
  2. Apart from production files, our client should provide a model showing how folding / order of the pages in the housing (can be printed mock-up black-and-white or color with marked page numbers).
  3. Files should be prepared in the form of a composite PDF (versions 1.3 do 1.7). It is not allowed to use JPEG 2000 compression. Please don't use JPEG compression - the resulting compression varied artifacts will look distinctly on the printing sheets.
  4. Resolution images / bitmaps sent material should not be less than 300 dpi. The minimum recommended graphic bar resolution is 1200 dpi. Sending material in the lower resolution means approval from the client, to reduce printing quality graphics.
  5. All graphics must be in CMYK. RGB or Lab is not for printing - don't send files in RGB or Lab.  If you can't send file in CMYK, we can convert it automatically to CMYK on your request.
  6. In the case when "spot color" is used, you must correctly indicate this color value (name) in the file.
  7. Additional elements of the project as a selective coating, hotprint, stamping or punch should be prepared as a spot color overprints-enabled (overprint).
  8. Graphic elements / files may not contain the attached profiles ICC.
  9. The files must be included fonts.
  10. Each of the parties to the project should include a bleed size of at least 3 mm round, equal on all sides. Allowed to use 2 mm bleed if the product is subject to further processing only 1 binding process (cutting or punching).
  11. PDF project must be transmitted centered.
  12. Important elements of the graphic or text must be not less than 3 mm distance from the net forma.
  13. Black text smaller than 24 points, and a small black graphic elements should consist only of the component K: 100% without the addition of other colors. They must be printed (Overprint). This is the default setting for most graphics applications unless it is turned off.
  14. In order to obtain a deeper depth of the black solid areas, it is necessary to complement the use of color and the other colors of the components to create black - for coated papers: C: 60% M, 53% Y: 47% K: 100% - for uncoated C: 45% M, 42% Y: 40% K: 100
  15. This color separation also applies to text font size above 24 points.
  16. In order to avoid potential inaccuracies, noticeable color matching is recommended trapping (trapping), which is the minimum imposed colors on each other. The recommended size of the trap is 0.1 mm or 0.3 points.
  17. In the case of text in a counterattack against a black background, it is advisable for the negative trapping CMY color of 0.1 mm (in other words, only the outline around the text of the component K: 99% without the addition of other colors).
  18. Note that the paperback glued on pages 2 and 3 of the cover and the first and last contribution visible when framed area is reduced by 6 mm from the back by gluing the side. On the pages of graphics, texts must therefore be not less than 9 mm from the back.
  19. The saddle-stiched bindings, due to being pushed out of central premiums according to their volume and thickness of the paper, is a reduction in the width of the central sites. This may lead to the sides of the graphic elements to be cut from the outside of the booklet. Therefore, the printing press, as long as they can in prepared graphics, apply during the automatic installation of electronic, progressive insertion of internal contributions towards the back. It is therefore recommended for use in a wider margin of such fittings both dorsal and external. If not, the client must in the design gradually increase the contribution margin of the subsequent external internal retaining the format and other margins.
  20. Due to the existence of tolerance in the folding and binding, it is not allowed to move text between neighboring small parties, especially in the middle of a word.
  21.  The minimum font size print more than one color or one color in counter is 6 points for writing one-piece and 8 points for two-factor magazine.
  22. The minimum permissible thickness of the line in more that one color or counter is 0.5 points.
  23. Before sending materials to the printer it is advisable to check the files for possible errors, by using tools / applications preflight (contained in Adobe Acrobat Professional since version 6, or the Pitstop for example).
